Responsible whale watching includes ethical guidelines and ideas that ensure whale watching is conducted in a manner that:
Minimizes negative impacts on cetaceans and the environment.
Results in high levels of customer satisfaction.
Positively benefits local communities and the environment.
Educates and inspires the public and the wider tourism industry.
Over the years, we've worked on providing communities from Bahía Solano and Nuquí with training and workshops about responsible whale watching.
This training offers information on different aspects such as biology and ecology of humpback whales; policies and regulations for best whale watching practices, proper seaman documentation for the designated location and prepare operators through guidance and help to work with tourists, addressing security, management, and customer service.
